Payment, Delivery & Refunds

Last updated: September 23, 2026

How billing works, what you receive and when, and the exact circumstances in which we give your money back. We have written the refund rule as a number rather than a promise to 'be reasonable', so you can check it yourself before you ask.

Who you are buying from

Artwello is operated and sold by Kostiantyn Holub, Poland. Registered address and tax numbers are on our Imprint page.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never reach our servers; we store only your plan, your credit balance and a customer reference. Depending on where you are, Stripe may act as merchant of record for the transaction and charge any applicable VAT or sales tax on our behalf.

What you are buying

Artwello sells credits. Credits are spent on generating patterns, and you can obtain them in two ways.

  • A subscription (Hobby or Pro) grants a credit allowance on each paid invoice, monthly or annually. An annual plan is paid in advance for the whole period and grants the whole period's credits at once.
  • A credit pack (100, 250 or 500 credits) is a single purchase, not a subscription. It grants its credits immediately and includes a temporary Hobby pass (3, 7 or 14 days by pack size). While it runs, you get the Hobby plan's catalogue perks: its weekly allowance of downloads without a watermark.
  • Every new account also gets 10 free credits, with no card required.

Prices, currency and tax

Prices are shown in US dollars on our pricing page. The amount you see on the plan you choose is the amount charged for that billing period. An annual price is the full sum for the whole period, not a monthly rate.

Where sales tax, VAT or GST applies to your purchase, it is calculated at checkout based on your country and shown before you pay.

We may change our prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for; for subscriptions it takes effect at your next renewal, and we will tell you before that renewal so you can cancel if you would rather not continue.

Delivery

Everything is digital and delivered inside your account. There is nothing to ship and no download link to lose in a spam folder.

Credits appear on your balance as soon as your payment is confirmed, normally within seconds. Generating a pattern then takes anywhere from under a minute to about ten, depending on the tool, the complexity level and how busy the service is; the page shows the stage it has reached while it works.

Finished patterns stay in your account and can be downloaded as often as you like, in every format the tool offers, for as long as you keep them. Keep your own copies of anything important (see the liability section of our Terms of Service).

Renewals and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation stops the next charge and your plan keeps running until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Your plan's monthly credits are for the period you paid for: each renewal resets them to the plan's allowance instead of stacking, and whatever is unspent when the subscription ends is written off along with the subscriber perks, such as the larger, watermark-free catalogue download allowance. Spend them before the period ends.

Credits you bought in a one-off credit pack are not affected: they do not expire and they stay on your balance when a subscription ends. Generating always spends plan credits first, so pack credits are still there afterwards.

If a renewal payment fails, we will retry it and Stripe will contact you. Your plan is not cancelled immediately; if payment is not completed, the subscription lapses and you fall back to your remaining credit balance.

Refunds

Credits are digital goods that are consumed the moment you generate a pattern, so a refund depends on how much of the service you have actually used. The rule is the same for everyone and is checked against your credit history, which you can see yourself on your credit history page.

Subscriptions

We refund a subscription in full within 14 days of the payment if you have spent no more than 30 credits during that period. 30 credits is 10 coloring pages (3 credits each). That is enough to try the tool properly and decide that Artwello is not for you.

We also refund the most recent renewal payment in full if you have spent no credits at all since that renewal. That's the "I forgot to cancel" case, which we would rather fix than argue about.

Beyond 30 credits, the subscription is not refundable: the generations were produced, delivered, and cost us real money to run.

Credit packs

A credit pack is refundable in full within 14 days if you have spent no credits since buying it. Refunding a pack also ends the Hobby pass that came with it. Once credits from a pack have been spent, the pack has been consumed and cannot be refunded.

We do not refund packs pro rata. If you are unsure how many credits you need, start with the smallest one.

When you do not need to ask

If a generation fails, its credits are returned to your balance automatically, in full, matching exactly what was charged. That is built into the service, not a favour, and it happens whether the failure was our fault, a provider outage, or a safety filter rejecting an innocent prompt. You will see the return in your credit history.

A failed generation is therefore not a refund case and does not count towards any threshold on this page.

What is not refundable

  • Credits you have already spent on generated patterns.
  • Subscription periods in which you spent more than the allowance above.
  • Accounts closed by us for breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, where the breach was deliberate or illegal.
  • Dissatisfaction with a result you kept generating past the threshold. The free preview and the free starter credits exist so you can judge the output before spending.

Your statutory right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content supplied immediately, that right ends once supply has begun with your agreement. For Artwello, that means the moment you spend a credit on a generation.

The policy above is deliberately more generous than that: we still refund in full within the window as long as you have stayed under the allowance, even though you have already begun using the service. Nothing here reduces any right you have under mandatory consumer law.

How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, and tell us what you bought and what went wrong. You do not need to prove anything about your usage, since we can see the credit history. But telling us what disappointed you genuinely helps us fix it.

We aim to answer within 2 business days and to approve or decline within 14 days. Approved refunds are submitted to Stripe immediately and go back to the original payment method; your bank usually posts them within 5 to 10 business days, occasionally longer.

We reserve the right to decline a refund where an account shows signs of abuse: repeated buy-and-refund cycles, or bulk generation followed by a refund request.

Problems with a payment

If you were charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or see a charge you do not recognise, contact us at [email protected] before disputing it with your bank. We will find it and fix it, and a direct fix is faster for you than a chargeback.
